Facade, 2018
Parliament House Canberra

The Aboriginal Tent Embassy stands humbly, but resolutely, in front of the giant
before it. It is always watching, always listening and always hoping to be invited
in. It is patiently waiting for Australia to be united and for it to break free of this
ongoing dichotomy of two very distinct voices; the old and the new, lore and law.
My hope and optimism is for a positive joint future that includes a path to treaty.
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Parliament House building, it is clear
that as it stands as the country’s most recognised meeting places it is still
missing the critical voice of the First Nations People.
